The Client
RM is a FTSE techMARK 100 company providing Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to educational establishments, and employs in excess of 2000 people worldwide. Five of their offices including their head office are based in Oxfordshire, while further offices are located throughout the UK. Rollright provides Integrated FM services for all sites.
RM wanted to engage a facilities provider that could improve and manage a failing asset structure, improve the facilities team performance, provide the M&E excellence that was urgently required on their UK sites and adopt a partnership approach to provide the best working environment for its employees.
The Benchmarking Process
Rollright’s benchmarking process identified critical areas for improvement in hard and soft service delivery. We discovered clear cost savings and were able improve the overall management structure. This provided an empirical basis for our solution and clear KPIs for future progress reporting.
The Outcome
Rollright re-structured the existing management team to better suit the technical and soft service requirements of the site. We implemented an engineering process that transformed M&E from being an inconsistent, reactive service and into an efficient, pro-active department. Soft service lines were then given a dedicated manager. Since implementation, this management structure has resulted in reduced costs, increased efficiency and all key performance indicators being reached.
